Schnitzer Bräu is an organic and gluten free beer from Germany. Don’t now what it says on the bottle, so I shall just talk about the beer. I haven’t drank many gluten free beers, so I don’t know whether the odd taste is either the beer, or the gluten-free component. It tastes a bit strange.
This beer comes out quite cloudy, and doesn’t have much head, and it reminds me of a wheat beer, which of course it cannot be! The aroma is a bit fruity, and somewhat chemical. Initial tasting of this does produce a light and fruity taste, but after that has died down, you get the flat chemical taste, which is possibly due to the absence of gluten.
Summary. If you cannot consume gluten, then this beer isn’t too bad. However, if you compare this beer to normal other beers, then it tastes chemical, and sharp with fruity overtones. Not a favourite, but OK if this is all you can drink.
